I have written before about the beloved Swedish Fjällräven Kånken. Used in its many iterations (collaboration versions, leather straps, rainbow straps) by young and old in Sweden, it is almost a national treasure. They are ubiquitous yet never seem to become passé. Maybe they are timeless, or rooted so deeply in everyday Swedish life that they transcend the tides of fashion.
Lately I have been seeing more of these ones – smaller crossbody versions in the same design as the backpack. They look really nice and would be perfect for a day out or for a travel bag to hold essentials. I think I like them so much because they are a mini version of a familiar object.
