Michael Kors Camouflage Tote

This is probably my most hideous bag, which is why I have not featured it before, but oh how useful it has been.

Many designers have certain items specially made for sales and outlet shops. They look the same apart from tiny details and price. I am sure this is one of them. I bought it last June for 80% off the retail price. It looks just like my JetSet Laptop Tote but does not have the central laptop/iPad section.

I always treat my bags well but I don’t baby them. This one has been used when I don’t want to use any of my nicer ones – when it is muddy, at the beach, when my load is strap-breakingly heavy, when the contents make it bulge at the seams. It has carried shopping, parcels, books, sharp and wet items. And it has just come up smiling. I tend to carry this one for my overload when one bag is enough. And over the months I have really become rather fond of it. Because of the pattern, I doubt it will ever show scuffs or marks.

When I bought my two Longchamp Les Pliages bags in nylon, I was hoping to use them for the same purpose – as overflow bags –  with the added benefit of being able to fold them up and keep them in my handbag when not in use. Unfortunately the long straps made the folded version too big and the design meant that things all landed in a pile in the middle of the bag. This one is stable so keeps things like bottles upright. It is not foldable though.
